Recharge
Connect Recharge so shoppers signed in to your store can ask your agent about their subscriptions.
What shoppers can ask
A signed-in shopper can ask what they're subscribed to, when their next charge is, how much it costs and how often it ships. The agent looks at active subscriptions only.
The agent sees the product, variant, quantity, price, frequency, next charge date and status. It doesn't get addresses or payment details.
Connect Recharge
- In Recharge, create an API token with read access to customers and subscriptions (
read_customersandread_subscriptions). - In Agentmatica, open your agent and go to Integrations → Subscriptions.
- Paste the token and click Connect.
We check the token has both permissions before saving it, and we store it encrypted. To remove it, click Disconnect in the same place.
Why shoppers need to sign in
Subscription details are personal, and anyone can type someone else's email. So the agent only looks up a subscription for a shopper who has signed in to their store account. If they aren't signed in, it offers sign-in in the chat when that's available, and it never asks for an email instead.
If an email matches more than one customer in Recharge, the agent shows nothing, because it can't tell which one is this shopper.
What it can't do yet
The connection is read-only, so the agent can't skip, pause, cancel or change a subscription. Recharge is the only subscription app we connect to so far.
